WHAT DO THE SYMBOLS MEAN?

The Cross represents Jesus Christ’s presence among us and His great love for us.

The Holy Bible is God’s Word.  We stand for the
reading of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and
John) as they encourage us and lift us up.  Because the Old Testament and Epistles (letters in the New Testament) are instructions, we sit.

The Communion Table with the Chalice and the Bread tells us that Christ is the sacrifice for our sins.  Jesus instructed that we receive communion in remembrance of Him (Luke 22:17-19).

The two White Candles represent the dual nature of Christ.  He is God and man.  It also represents the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
